Walk-In Advising
Beginning Monday, June 8, 2009, the Pre-Transfer Advising Office will have walk-in advising hours on Mondays and Thursdays from 1:30 to 4:00. This is a great opportunity for students with quick and simple questions to receive immediate assistance. Students with more detailed questions (transferability of credits, remaining major requirements, academic planning) are encouraged to schedule a regular 30-minute appointment at http://www.transferadvising.umd.edu).
Walk-In Advising Procedures
- Starting at 1:15pm, on Mondays and Thursdays, students will be allowed to start signing in for advising. The last student may sign in at 3:45pm.
- Walk in advising appointments are 15 minutes in length. Students who need additional assistance beyond those 15 minutes will be encouraged to schedule a follow up advising appointment.
- Students interested in an unofficial audit of their courses must submit their Pre-Advising Worksheet* ONE BUSINESS DAY prior to the day they want to have a walk in advising appointment. Otherwise, they will be encouraged to schedule a follow up advising appointment to receive an unofficial audit.
