Advising Services

The Pre-Transfer Advisors are committed to working with students to assist with articulation and planning for transfer to the University, assessing their readiness to transfer and estimating time to degree completion.  Meetings with advisors are available online, by telephone or in-person.  Meeting with a Pre-Transfer Advisor is not required for Admission to the University of Maryland.

Before meeting with an advisor, you must:

Part A:   Complete the Pre-Advising Worksheet.  Save a copy of the worksheet for your records and send a copy via email to transferadvising@umd.edu TWO BUSINESS DAYS to your advising meeting.  Please include your name and telephone number in the body of your email.

Part B:   Use the online scheduling system to register for a 30-minute advising appointment with a Pre-Transfer Advisor.
